Communication

This word is so important in today's world. Men, we have to start communicating better. We need to really understand how best we communicate with others and also help our spouses and children develop this vital skill as well. I found myself upset that my spouse hadn't learned how to better understand, and "deal" with me after all the time we have been together. Then I thought to myself how well have I learned to "deal" with her after this time. So, I decided to take a different approach in communicating with my wife and rest assure it worked. Men, we have to learn to be better communicators as well as listeners. You will reap great benefits and you will enrich the lives of those you come in contact with.

  3. I believe communication is one of the keys to a healthy relationship whether it is work relationships or personal relationships. I’m glad to hear you found an effective approach to communicate with your spouse. Hopefully this will minimize the amount of upsets and allow you to recognize the respect you have for one another when you do calmly communicate about disagreements.

I share the same opinion that we need to teach our children this important skill but we must lead by example first. It will help boost their confidence by validating their feelings as well as minimize violence and stress just to name a few things. A good exercise to get kids involved in communication is to just sit around as a family and talk about the events of your day. Truly listen to what they are saying, acknowledge it and respond. How many of us can say they do that? Something so simple you can do to help better your child’s future.

  4. "To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.”
